This community includes, but is not limited to, people who identify as transgender (often abbreviated as trans), non-binary, genderqueer, and genderfluid. The experiences of transgender individuals vary widely; some may choose to transition medically and/or legally to align their physical appearance and legal status with their gender identity, while others may not.
