However, the DrumBrute is a different beast worth mentioning. This later model is more compact and features a built-in distortion and a "Color" sound-shaping function for each sound, giving it much more immediate grit and personality. Its updated sound set, featuring a dedicated FM Drum synth, also generally receives better reviews for its character. While the Impact isn't our primary focus, its existence highlights what many original DrumBrute users set out to achieve through mods: more character and sonic flexibility.
